Thanks so much for stopping by!

Ever since tinkering around with my first little point-and-shoot at age 11, photography has been a great love of mine. Things took off when some family and friends got me my first DSLR as a high school graduation gift, which I carried around with me pretty much everywhere throughout college. What began as a hobby turned into one opportunity after another to help capture memories for other people. As of 2019 I’ve had the privilege of shooting professionally for 7 years, gathering experience working for a number of established photography businesses before branching out on my own.

Whether you’re looking to get some portraits or coverage for a special event, my goal is to make the whole process as simple and smooth as possible!

If you’re interested in having me shoot for you or have any questions, please feel free to contact me at jennakimphotography@gmail.com.

Thanks again, and I look forward to working with you!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What time of day is best for portraits?

    • Most photographers' favorite time to shoot is called the "golden hour", which is approximately an hour before the sun sets. This time varies throughout the calendar year, but that's what will give your session that magical, warm, flattering light we all love!

  • Do you shoot weddings?

    • At this time I am doing portraiture and events, but not weddings.

  • Do you travel outside of LA?

    • Yes! However there is a travel fee of $0.58 per mile outside of a 50 mile radius from 91504.

  • What is the turnaround time for digital delivery of photos?

    • I'm just as excited as you to see the finished product! Standard delivery time is 5-7 business days, but you can request 24-hour delivery for an additional 50% charge.

  • What should I wear for a portrait session?

    • Most rules have their exceptions, but in general, solid-colored, comfortable clothing that is free of writing, logos, and distracting patterns makes for the best results. But the look and style of the shoot can be anything you want it to be.

  • Where should our portrait shoot location be?

    • I will meet you at any location of your choosing, but I do have several favorite places around LA should you need some ideas! Do keep in mind that you would be responsible for any potential photography permit fees, and that permit applications can sometimes take several weeks to process.
